Gary graduated in Architecture from Dublin Institute of Technology
in 1995 after having previously studied civil engineering from
1988-1990. Since an early age, he has worked extensively as a
carpenter under the opuses of his father who was a cabinetmaker
on an array of projects that included design and build projects. This
has lead to more practical approach and understanding of the building
process.
With this insight, he lectured in the final-year of Architecture
at DIT Bolton Street and was founding member of an international
summer school in Italy, a member of the RIAI Council, 2004/5 and
spent 10 years in the AAI (Architectural Association of Ireland)
and was a past president in 2003/4. Currently Gary is a board
member on the 'Irish Architecture Foundation' and for the RIAI's
member's magazine, Architecture Ireland'. In 2015, Gary
returned to lecturing Architecture at DIT Bolton Street.
